Buying & Selling Blueprints

It has recently come to our attention that blueprints are being sold privately.

Aside from directly violating the EULA (End User License Agreement) it also creates a weird and problematic grey zone, legally.

Having a 'black market' for blueprints opens the door for new ways to scam people. We can't help users who have been scammed by blueprint-sellers because it's a market that completely bypasses any safeguards we have set up with Steam, Sony, and Microsoft respectively. These same companies could potentially punish us for being idle while unregulated transactions run rampant in a system that we are facilitating

"But I don't scam people, I am a legit seller. People get what they pay for"

Sure, and that's great, but that being said it is still a direct EULA violation which technically gives us authority to shut down your Trailmakers account permanently.

We don't want to do that. And we especially don't want to backtrack and ban people who have been doing it without knowing the severity of it. But going forward from today, we will act on it to prevent Trailmakers becoming a haven for scammers.

We'll do a two week grace period to allow people to take down Discord servers and posts aimed at selling blueprints. Accounts still having blueprints for sale after the grace period will be met with comprehensive account restrictions.

Thank you,

The Trailmakers Team.
